Childcare, Wellness, & Physical Activity

Because early childhood is such a critical phase for an individual’s development, with the potential to impact them throughout their life course, I have a huge interest in the environment (or “developmental ecology”) of young children—an interest that is both informed by and informs my training as a pediatric physical therapist and doula and my work with families. This interest inevitably led me to expand my view to encompass children’s primary caregivers, both at home and in educational settings. The publications and products below are a sampling of my scholarly work and community outreach efforts to help parents and early childhood educators learn how to support young children’s health and wellness, as well as their own.
